This blog was created to create an environment in which Christians can share ideas, joys, praises, ask for prayer, and just discuss topics important to them.
So here is a praise…
As many people know, my wife and I are preparing to go overseas and are beginning to raise partners to accomplish that. We went to the bank the other day, and were adding her to an account, and everything was going just as expected until our banker asked us an interesting question. “You work at a Christian school; does that mean you guys are Christians?”
We are at the bank, and we were not expecting that at all. But our banker continues to encourage us in serving the Lord. Laura told him our plans to go overseas, and he was also greatly encouraged. After he finishes adding Laura to the account, he says this: “You guys aren’t ashamed of your faith, right? Can I pray for you?” And so our banker proceeds to pray for us right in the middle of the bank, in the middle of Meijer.
God brings encouragement to us in our time of need. It wasn’t that we were feeling discouraged, but at the same time, that encouragement gave us tremendous faith that we are not the ones raising support but rather God. We thank God for this small instance of His faithfulness. Our banker got a support letter, so at the very least we are convinced we have one more brother praying for us.
